Oakhampton park is set in 20 acres of glorious south facing Somerset countryside with approximately 2 acres of formal gardens.
A quarter mile drive from the pillared entrance brings you to the front of the house where there are sloping lawns studded with mature parkland trees.
Directly behind the house there is a one acre walled garden dating from the 16 century with the main living room and dining room opening into it. This splendid facility is terraced with two lily ponds, two gazebos and a croquet lawn. The flora is semi tropical due to it’s micro climate generated from the 20ft walls. There are espaliered fruit trees and an abundance of climbing bush roses throughout.
In all a wonderful peaceful atmosphere is enjoyed and is totally secure with regards to children or pets playing there.
To the West of the house there is a mature orchard and dedicated terrace with the automatic clay pigeon facility.
Parkland slopes away to the south with splendid rural views, leading to a woodland area rich in snowdrops and bluebells in the spring, and an attractive lake for walks.
